Well, if you thought you missed Week 3’s post, there wasn’t a Week 3 post. Quite frankly, I was pretty upset at the results. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, I started on a new lifestyle change four weeks ago. You can read about Week 1 here and read about Week 2 here.
Now, on to Weeks 3 and 4 discussion. One of the big things that is stressed with this program, is that we stay “in the box,” which means not eating anything except for our two entrees and drinking our three shakes and five fruits and/or vegetables. We can also have a snack bar that is part of the program. If we are hungry, we can have more shakes and/or more fruits and/or vegetables, but that’s it. There is nothing “outside” of the program. I am happy to say that I have NOT had anything outside of the “box” the entire time I’ve been on the program. Even Thanksgiving day, Tony and I stayed in box and did not travel “outside the box.” It helped that we were able to make a pumpkin pie shake. It was really good! We had the BBQ Chicken entree and a baked potato and a baked sweet potato with it.
When I went in to weigh in on Week 3, I was hopeful for a good weigh-in, as I had had a so-so week the previous week. But I only lost 1.2 pounds. I was really, really disappointed. My health educator tried to encourage me that even though it was a low number that when you averaged it out with the previous two weeks, I was doing very well. Still, it was only 1.2 pounds lost!!!!
So when I went in on Thursday, I was really hoping for a big number. While my number was not big like week 1, but it was my second best week on the program. I lost 3.8 pounds for the week!!! I was pretty happy with that, especially since the last two weeks were only in the 1 pound range. I was happier with the total pound lost, since I broke the ten pound mark. I’ve lost a total of
13.5 pounds.
That’s HUGE for me!
So until the next weigh-in. Any guesses on what next week’s weight loss will be?
